11.6 Maintain Deficiency Groups & SubGroups
The purpose of the application is to review/update existing deficiency groups/subgroups or create new ones. For example, you can create a deficiency group, Electrical, and several subgroups for it, such as, fixture and wiring.

Step Action
1. Open Maintain Deficiency Groups & SubGroups application.
2. Select a deficiency group from the Please choose an existing deficiency group drop down list and click .
3. Review the General Information, Subgroups and Update Control sections of the form and make any necessary adjustments. You can modify group status, description, etc. Make sure that all of the required fields are filled out.
4. When you are done:
  • To save and exit, click .
  • To save and add/update a subgroup, click .

    To update an existing subgroup, select a subgroup from the Please Choose an Existing Subgroup drop down list and click .

    Review the General Information and Update Control sections of the form and when you are done click .

11.6.2 Creating a new deficiency group
Step Action
1. Open Maintain Deficiency Groups & SubGroups application.
2. Enter a new group name in the Enter NEW Deficiency Group input field and click .
3. Fill out the General Information and Update Control sections of the form.

FORM FAQ
General Information
Group ID A unique ID used to describe the deficiency group (e.g. ELEC).
Status Current status of the deficiency group (e.g. active, inactive).
Short Description A more thorough description of the deficiency group (e.g. Electrical).
Long Description Any additional comments can be entered here.
Update Control
Update Deficiency Group Info for Division Select the divisions in which the deficiency group should be active. Similarly, to deactivate a group in the division, deselect that check box.
4. When you are done:
  • To save and exit, click .
  • To save and add/update a subgroup, click .

    To add a new subgroup, enter a subgroup name in the Enter NEW SubGroup Id input field and click .

    Fill out the General Information and Update Control sections of the form and when you are done click .
