Getting Started
Here is an introduction for new users to the basics of login in and navigating through the Dynamic Builder system.
Accessing the system for the first time
Step Action
1. The first step is to launch your browser. Go to Start > Programs > Internet Explorer.
2.

In the Address field, enter http://new.greatgulfhomes.com/ and click . You should now find yourself on the log in page of Dynamic Builder system.

Tip: For easier future access, add this site to your Favorites list. To do so, click on the Bookmark Page link.

3. Now, lets log in. In the Log In form, enter your user name and password, and click .

Note: If you are having trouble accessing the system with your user name and password, see Login Tips reference guide for more details.
4. If you have followed Steps 1-3 correctly, the Dynamic Builder should have launched. Take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with its interface.

You will notice that the system is divided into several modules (e.g. Custom Reports, Job Costing) and each module is composed of one or more applications (e.g. View Custom Reports, Maintain Baseplans).
5. To open a specific application, click on a module first (e.g. Calendar) and then on the application (e.g. View Calendar).
6. To log out of the system, click on the link located at the top-left corner of the page. However, do not hurry to do so unless you are leaving for the day. For more details, please see the next section of this tutorial: How to avoid repeat login?

How to avoid repeated log in?
Step Action
1. In order to avoid repeatedly logging into the system, you have to set up Dynamic Builder site as your home page. This way you will have to log in only once during the day.

The first step is to launch your browser application (e.g. Internet Explorer). Go to Start > Programs > Internet Explorer.
2. Enter http://new.greatgulfhomes.com/ in the Address field of your browser and click .
3. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
4. In the Internet Options box, on the General tab, click the Use Current button. Make sure that the Address field contains the following URL: http://new.greatgulfhomes.com/.
5. Click OK.

Tip: Login session has a life span of 24 hours. So unless you explicitly log out from Dynamic Builder, you don't have to keep entering your user name and password. Simply open a new browser window and you are ready to work.

Move back Do not click on the browser's image.jpg button to move to the previous page. Instead, use the image.jpg button at the bottom of the page.
